I have wanted to do an outdoor boudoir session for a very long time. But…as Alberta weather goes it has never worked out. Until it was time for Miss. T’s session. She came up to see me as a gift for her very soon to be husband and we had an absolute blast.

A couple sneak peaks for you :D

So much fun! We still have a few days of summer/fall left and I’d love to do more of these! If you are interested in an outdoor boudoir, give me a shout!

Today was my Lacombe Lemonade Stand Sessions. It was cute. It was fun. And I’m so glad I did them. An old friend brought her daughter to the session today and I promised her a quick sneak peak. It’s just a single picture for now. But I thought it was cute.

I hope this image made you smile D.

Well, it has been awhile since I have blogged. Which is crazy because I have most definitely been working. Sessions make it onto my facebook page. I must remember to make a better effort to blog.

I am very excited about this session. Miss Heather, owner of Dancer’s Edge studio in Blackfalds is in the process of opening another studio in Lacombe. She wanted some creative dance images to adorn the studio’s wall and asked me to come and do the pictures. I can’t wait to see how the studio looks with these up on her walls. I had a blast at this session, and it was nice to step out of the box a little.

Not every wedding client wants to meet prior to booking their wedding with us. Although a pre-booking consult is always an option for our clients, more often than not our clients know our work and book us after a few phone conversations and emails. This was the case with Megan and Andrew almost a year ago. So it was a pleasure to finally put faces to names and go out and shoot their engagement session. It was a beautiful evening (rare these days) at the legislature grounds and I had a great time getting to know these two. Both Vanessa and I are really looking forward to their wedding later in July!

Despite two inches of snow at my house yesterday morning, and cool temperatures, we were able to go ahead with a fun, urban engagement session downtown Edmonton. I had never shot right downtown before, and what a fun playground it was. I could have walked around for hours shooting this fun couple! Nathan and Nicole were so fun to hang with. They are such a fun, easy going couple and the session was filled with laughs. I am so looking forward to shooting their wedding in July. It will be a good one!!

One of my favourite things about my job is that I get a chance to meet so many great families and neat kids. This session was no exception. 4 week old baby Layne was a doll. We were able to get some great shots of her awake, and the stars were alined for us, because she also fell fast asleep and let us move her around to grab a few of those sleepy baby poses that we all love! Her older brother and sister were so sweet too. Thank you S family for inviting me into your beautiful home! I enjoyed meeting you and can’t wait for you to view all your images. I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!!

More often than not in this digital age, we book our weddings after a series of emails back and forth. Though we are always available for in-person consults, it seems like our brides and grooms feel confident enough in our images and our written replies or phone conversations to book us prior to meeting. This was the case with Chris and Krystal. So after months of emails, it was an absolute pleasure to officially meet. With spring off to what seems like a late start, weather was sketchy. Given a forecast of high winds and rain, we decided to chance it all and it must have been fate. We had a great session, had a lot of fun and got some great images. Enjoy the rest of the planning you guys! Can’t wait until the big day!

And as always, we enjoy a little blog love :D Feel free to leave a comment and let Chris and Krystal know what you think.

This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of meeting Abbie and her family! She was an absolute doll. She was happy. Gave us many smiles and giggles along the way. We must of have tired her out though because she was fast asleep in her daddy’s arms before I was even out the door. Thanks again for the great session!Untitled-1

For the past three years, I have been lucky enough to take the local playschool’s pictures. It is honestly one of my favourite few days of the year. I get to act silly while making adorable 3 and 4 year olds smile. The 4 years olds get to dress up in their graduating cap and gown and I adore the sense of pride that shows on their faces. Here is just one of my own daughter…

Mr. A is a sweet little guy with such a personality. He is full of smiles. He loves his toys. He LOVES to stick out his tongue and even more so, he loves great music. The trick of the day to get him to smile? Singing “Hey Soul Sister” by Train. Worked like a charm, every time!

Here is a sneak peak of a few images from this sessions. I look forward to seeing him in another short 6 months as we complete his baby plan and celebrate his first birthday :D
