Meet sweet Bella! This little doll was so sweet and beautiful. And I mean BEAUTIFUL! Her parents are going to be in trouble when she is older! With amazing eyes, and a sweet smile, Bella kept three of us on our toes. Like a typical one year old, she enjoyed crawling away from the camera. And boy is she fast. And while she had recently taken a step here and there for her mom and dad, we were lucky enough to capture her taking what I believe were her first BUNCH of steps. It was awesome!!

I have had the pleasure of capturing memories for this family for over a year now. I first met them when their first girl was 6 months old, and have since seen a radiantly pregnant mom, the beauty of a newborn and now the fun of another 6 month old! Jordyn is a most adorable little girl. Identical in looks to her sister at this age, Jordyn has a beautiful smile and a slightly more serious side to her as well. She was a proper super model for me and I hope you enjoy the sneak peak into this session!

I love going back home, and one of my favorite places to eat in the whole world is Leto’s in Lacombe. It has a great atmosphere and even more amazing food, and I used to eat there more than I’d like to admit. And that is how I met this family. Meet Dina and George! With beautiful eyes and playful personalities, these two certainly know how to work the camera! We sure had a great time, both inside and out for this session!!

7 months…7 months of chubby, happy, cuteness! I photographed this little guy when he was a couple weeks new. Then, he slept like a dream! Now, he laughed and smiled his way through the whole session. I don’t think I’ve seen a happier little guy! Couldn’t you just eat him up he’s so cute?

Spring has sprung! The weather is gorgeous and new babies are aplenty! I’m loving every minute of it!!

Meet Anika. This little girl is so very adorable! She has the cutest cheeks, makes the cutest little sounds and absolutely LOVES her hands. 4 days new, she was simply a dream!

I am so blessed! Through Head Over Heels, I get to meet such amazing families. Families full of love and joy. I get to help preserve those fleeting moments that we wish would stay just a little bit longer. Yes…I am a very lucky girl.

Yesterday I met Rachel and her family for an amazing session. Her mom and dad called me at the perfect time and at five days old, Rachel slept through it all! She let me move her and mold her and move her some more. And to put it simply…she is perfect. She is beautiful in every way.

Thank you so much for inviting me into your home. I truly enjoyed the session…the “surprises” and all ;)

Some fun products

April 1, 2010

Aside from the photography aspect of Head Over Heels, one of my favorite things is to provide my clients with unique products to showcase their images. By far, the most popular of our products has been mini accordion albums. These 3×3 mini scrapbooks make the greatest gifts for family. They are also the perfect brag books to tuck into a mom’s purse.

Below are some product shots to give you an idea as to what the completed product resembles…

This past Sunday, I had a successful and busy day filled with Valentine’s mini sessions. Done as a fundraiser for the Dancer’s Edge Parent’s Association, I had fun capturing the smiles and giggles of kids of various ages…ranging from 6 months to 18 years, and a few adults got caught up in the fun of it all too! My thanks to Miss Heather who welcomed me into her beautiful studio. I HIGHLY recommend her studio for anyone who may be looking into dance for themselves, or their kids. She is amazing and has such a passion for the art of dance. I wish I lived closer!!

Here is just a taste of what we did…I will be posting a few more as I go through them!

I have spent a lot of time photographing young kids as of late. It seems to me that as kids get older, they get their pictures taken less and less. Perhaps it’s the fact that school aged children get their pictures taken every September. Maybe it’s the fact that as kids get older, they get more and more involved in different activities and so time becomes a factor. And quite possibly, it’s that as kids get older, they become less and less willing. Whatever the reason, I don’t get the opportunity to photograph older kids that often. Some cousins of mine, I sure had a great time capturing some images for them on a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL fall day!
