Spring has sprung! The weather is gorgeous and new babies are aplenty! I’m loving every minute of it!!

Meet Anika. This little girl is so very adorable! She has the cutest cheeks, makes the cutest little sounds and absolutely LOVES her hands. 4 days new, she was simply a dream!

I am so blessed! Through Head Over Heels, I get to meet such amazing families. Families full of love and joy. I get to help preserve those fleeting moments that we wish would stay just a little bit longer. Yes…I am a very lucky girl.

Yesterday I met Rachel and her family for an amazing session. Her mom and dad called me at the perfect time and at five days old, Rachel slept through it all! She let me move her and mold her and move her some more. And to put it simply…she is perfect. She is beautiful in every way.

Thank you so much for inviting me into your home. I truly enjoyed the session…the “surprises” and all 😉

Some fun products

April 1, 2010

Aside from the photography aspect of Head Over Heels, one of my favorite things is to provide my clients with unique products to showcase their images. By far, the most popular of our products has been mini accordion albums. These 3×3 mini scrapbooks make the greatest gifts for family. They are also the perfect brag books to tuck into a mom’s purse.

Below are some product shots to give you an idea as to what the completed product resembles…

(Beware…I am no product photographer!!)

Below are some examples of various templates in which you can choose (there are many more as well)…

The pink polka…

Another example…

The Meredith…

I have several other templates, but I hope this gives you a little bit of an idea as to one of the many other products we are able to provide.

If you have any questions about these products, give me a call!

Meet Cadence! A mere 6 days old, this little peanut was the tiniest one I’ve photographed! She was a photographer’s dream, sleeping while we moved her in and out of poses. I simply cannot get enough of these new little lives…so fresh and full of possibility!!

‘Tis definitely the season for newborns! And I love it! There is just something about their sweet innocence that melts my heart. They have so much to experience…endless opportunities!

Meet Victoria. This sweet little girl was a true joy to photograph. Awake for a few moments, and then she slept like a real doll!

A few days ago, I was able to travel down to the Red Deer area to capture some images of this adorable little girl! At 3 weeks of age, Melina was likely the most alert newborn I have ever seen. She took everything around her in, and was a definitely a trooper throughout the session! We weren’t able to coax her asleep, but we got some nice images nonetheless! Thanks again for having me out Francine! It was great spending time with you and the rest of the family!!

Facebook has been so great for me! I have reconnected with old friends and it has been so wonderful to see what people have been up to since high school. Danielle and I first met at a science fair in Red Deer during our elementary years. We were reconnected again in high school, and I have many great memories of the two of us hanging out together. And thanks to facebook we have been reconnected again! I was given the honor of becoming her doula, and was blessed to be one of the first to meet her beautiful little girl! They invited me in to photograph Brooklyn at 7 weeks of age. She’s an adorable little peanut with the most amazingly blue eyes and she has two parents who quite simply, adore her!

Just a sneak peak! It’s been a busy Christmas season for my family! Thanks again for inviting me out Danielle!

I wish you all a very Happy New Year!! I am so excited for all that 2010 is to bring!!

Have I ever mentioned that I love babies? Especially new ones who sleep and let me move them around with little to no protest? This little guy, at 10 days new, was pretty near perfect. This family was quite simply a joy to work with. Mom even knit THE CUTEST little peapod and hat. Adorable. I will be seeing this little one a couple times over the next year, and I truly look forward to being able to capture some of those all important milestones with him!

Meet Baby Faith! This sweet little girl was born a couple weeks ago to a good friend of mine, and I was there to watch her birth! For those of you who don’t know, I am also a doula. Which means I am witness to the miracle of all miracles. Words can’t even describe how amazing it is! So, I helped to welcome Faith into the world. And I got to photograph this sweet little angel too!

Meet baby Mya! Not only was this little peanut so very sweet, she was also a dream to photograph! She slept wonderfully for us, and moved around from one position to the next without any fuss! I have said it before but I am going to at it again…I am so blessed to be invited into people’s homes to capture the new, intense love parents feel towards their little bundles.  The love of a parent is always there and is always intense…but it’s so neat to watch parents fall deeper and deeper in love with their children! I hope, years from now Mya will be able to look back at these pictures and see just how cherished she is.
